'The Family Man 2' has been under a cloud of controversy after some Tamil groups and politicians started demanding its ban. The Tamil Nadu government, too, has urged that the web series should be banned. The ball is now in the court of the Centre.

Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, the creators of the espionage thriller, have made it clear that nothing should be assumed on the basis of a couple of shots in the trailer. They iterated that the writing team comprised of Tamils.

The duo, who recently produced Netflix's 'Cinema Bandi', iterated that the series doesn't intend to distort anything, much less portraying the Eelam Tamils in a negative light.

Samantha Akkineni's character in the series has been at the centre of the controversy. Manoj Bajpayee has played a spy in the awaited Amazon Prime release.
