'Skylab', which is set to head to the theatres on December 4, is headlined by Nithya Menen, Satyadev Kancharana and Rahul Ramakrishna. The village-based comedy is set in the late 1970s. Its trailer dropped earlier today.
Director Vishvak Khanderao is out to tell a story emanating from a real life incident. Gauri, Anand and Ramarao inhabit Banda Lingampally. When the residents of the village hear that Skylab, the NASA space station, is going to fall onto the Earth, they assume that the lab will hit the village and blast it away. Eventually, nothing happens.
If senior artist Tulasi plays the female protagonist's mother, Tanikella Bharani and Tharun Bhascker have their parts.
Music is by Prashanth R Vihari, while cinematography is by Aditya Javvadi. Ravi Teja Girijala has edited the movie. Shivam Rao and Chandrika Gorrepati have taken care of production design and art direction, respectively.
