'Uppena' and 'Master' actor Vijay Sethupathi's political thriller 'Laabam' will release in Telugu and Tamil on September 9. Starring Shruti Haasan as the heroine, this SP Jaganathan directorial has been bankrolled by Vijay Sethupathi Productions and 7Cs Entertainment Pvt Ltd.
Talking about the theme of the Ganesh Chavithi release, the makers said, "Our film talks about the plunder of farmers lands by corporates in the name of farming and industrialization. The story reflects the ground realities in the Telugu States and Tamil Nadu."
Jagapathi Babu, who was recently roped in for 'KGF 2', has a crucial role. 'Kabali' fame Sai Dhansika, Ramesh Thilak, Prudhvirajan, Daniel Annie Pope, Nitish Veera and Jai Varman have different roles in this D Imman musical. With the screenplay by N Kalyana Krishna, the film has cinematography by Ramji.
