Two flops and Tollywood is scared!

Small and medium-range Telugu films are painting themselves in a corner due to the mania surrounding 'KGF 2'. Last month, the 'RRR' mania scared the daylights out of 'Mishan Impossible' and 'Ghani'. Both 'MI' and the Varun Tej-starrer flopped at the box office despite optimism on the part of the makers of the films.

'Mishan Impossible', which was released a week after the Rajamouli directorial, was produced by Matinee Entertainments, the 'Acharya' makers. 'Ghani' has left a bad taste in the mouth of Allu Bobby Company. The confidence of Allu Aravind didn't mean anything. Even Varun Tej conceded five days after the film's release that it was a flop.

The experience has made small producers extremely cautious. Two small films that were supposed to hit the cinemas on April 22 have been postponed. The producers/distributors are sure that the 'KGF 2' fever will gobble up small films. Therefore, they have been moved out of the race.
