Chiranjeevi's assumptions need to change from today!

Megastar Chiranjeevi's assumptions have fallen flat with the failure of 'Acharya'. Now, how do we know what are his assumptions?

We can make some reasonable assumptions about his assumptions by analyzing his line-up of movies. He wouldn't be remaking 'Vedalam' (Tamil) and 'Lucifer' (Malayalam) if he didn't believe that his mighty screen presence and superstardom are enough to create interest in a remake. 'Acharya' is an original film but, its content is completely template-oriented.

Chiru wants to bring back the old-style charm prevalent in masala films to the Telugu audience. 'Acharya' is an effort towards that direction. With the film turning out to be a misfire, Chiru must already be wondering how the audience in the age group of 15-35 will be reacting to 'Bholaa Shankar' and 'Godfather', both remakes. This age group wants to watch fresh content, not the same dated tropes and characters.

Efforts have to be directed towards ensuring great trailers at the minimum in the future. 'Acharya' had a dull trailer.
