Chiranjeevi accepts 'Acharya' had weak content

Megastar Chiranjeevi today said that the audience haven't stopped watching movies in theatres. He made examples out of 'Sita Ramam', 'Bimbisara', and 'Karthikeya 2' while speaking at a film event on Wednesday.

"It is true that the audience are glued to OTT on smartphones. But OTT and TV are only additional sources of entertainment. It's not accurate to conclude that the audience have started avoiding theatres. They need arresting content. As the three hits in August showed, the viewers are still excited about cinemas," Chiranjeevi said.

He added that even in his case, it happened that the audience turned down a film from the second day of release. It was an indirect allusion to 'Acharya', which became a disaster in April this year.
