RGV feels YS Jagan is right, film industry is wrong!

Ram Gopal Varma enjoys one thing more than doing films. He likes to dish out controversial takes on polarized issues. Polarized debates excite him a lot.

In his latest interview, RGV has opined that YS Jaganmohan Reddy was so right in reducing cinema ticket rates last year. "In this regard, we in the film industry have become jokers (for opposing his decision). YS Jagan was right," RGV said.

RGV made the remarks because many film producers today are saying that the cinema ticket prices have to be reduced in the wake of films like 'Acharya' and 'Ante Sundaraniki' flopping. But are the producers really saying that the ticket prices have to be reduced to the level that the YCP government brought down last year? Not at all.

RGV is either confused or deliberately confusing people. Cine producers are only saying that rates as high as Rs 295 for multiplexes in Telangana are counter-productive. They don't need Jagan's misguided interventions.
