'Vikrant Rona', starring Sandalwood star Kichcha Sudeepa in the lead, will release on July 28. The much-awaited multi-lingual release is going to be one of the biggest Sandalwood films ever.

An action-adventure film, it has Nirup Bhandari and Neetha Ashok in key roles. Director Anup Bhandari and team were in Hyderabad today to promote the trailer, which has been a big hit.

Speaking on the occasion, producer Shalini Manjunath said, "My husband and producer Jack Manjunath has been a backbone to this project. The film is the result of a grand vision. I thank the director for working on the vision. Our cinema is going places, creating history. Sudeepa garu has worked tremendously."

Fight master A Vija said, "We started the project in 2020 when the pandemic began. The film was shot on a set in Annapurna Studios when shootings were not on. About 300 workers found a livelihood opportunity during a crisis. I thank the director and the hero for this opportunity to do action choreography."

Director Anup Bhandari said, "I have had some association with the Akkineni family and the Telugu film industry. My previous films completed their post-production works here. Nagarjuna garu has watched some scenes in 'Vikrant Rona' and appreciated me. Ram Gopal Varma garu, too, has appreciated the team efforts."

Writer Vijayendra Prasad said, "I wish the entire team all the best."

RGV said, "The Kannada film industry is going places. With the 'KGF' films, it has proved itself. I have seen the action scenes of 'Vikrant Rona' in 3D. They are superb."

Akhil Akkineni said, "The trailer is amazing. It is both creative and technically brilliant. A competent team has made this possible. I got to spend time with Sudeepa garu during the CCL tournament. I hope 'VR' becomes a path-breaking Kannada film."

Sudeepa said, "I thank my producer-friend and director on this occasion. Our film was designed at Annapurna Studios for two and a half months. At that time, Nagarjuna garu gave us all the floors in the studio for our movie." The actor also remembered 'Eega', which had him in a negative role. "I thank Rajamouli sir and Vijayendra Prasad garu on this occasion," he added.

The film has music by B Ajaneesh Loknath. The cinematography is by William David. Shivkumar is the production designer.
