'Yashoda': Is THIS the suspense element in Samantha's role?

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is awaiting the theatrical release of 'Yashoda' on November 11. The trailer shows her character as that of a vulnerable woman from a slum who walks into a trap laid by the villains - one of whom is Rao Ramesh's politician character.

But there could be more to her character. A gossip is doing the rounds in some quarters about a "suspense" element in 'Yashoda'. Samantha is actually a secret agent who pretends to be a poor woman needing money. She opts for surrogacy with the intent of learning about the modus operandi at the infertility and surrogacy centre where Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan and other characters inhabit.

That alone can explain Samantha pulling off stunts as seen in the trailer.

One hopes that there is more to the story than this. If it is just about one twist, it may not be surprising enough to today's audiences. A censor board member from Mumbai is said to have told Yashoda's producer that only south Indians can come up with a story like 'Yashoda'. This makes us believe that the film is going to have at least two twists in store.
