Samantha Ruth Prabhu seems to have been cast in a never-seen-before, unpredictable survival thriller. In 'Yashoda', directors Hareesh Narayan and Hari Shankar have put a bunch of innocent, unsuspecting women in a hell hole that passes for a surrogacy centre. They are pregnant, and a demonic set of characters are after their organs.
"The first time I heard this script it gave me chills .. I hope you experience the same!! (sic)," wrote Sam, plugging the trailer. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Sampath Raj and Unni Mukundan have got major roles in this thriller, where the central character has to become a 'Saakini' and 'Daakini' rolled into one to save herself and others. Venkat and Yannick Ben are the stunt masters.
There are 122 super-rich women thrown into the mix. Rao Ramesh plays a cop, while Murali Sharma is a wily politician. Sam plays a woman in dire need of money; she hails from a low-income background.
M Sukumar has cranked the camera. The film has music by Mani Sharma.
'Yashoda' heads to theatres on November 11.
