Israeli filmmaker and the IFFI jury head Nadav Lapid has created a storm of controversy by trashing 'The Kashmir Files', one of the biggest blockbusters of 2022. He called it a "propaganda and vulgar movie". He used the IFFI event stage to trash an Indian film made about the unspeakable atrocities faced by Hindus in Kashmir.
Producer Abhishek Agarwal, one of the producers of the Vivek Agnihotri directorial, has hit back at him. "We do not need your validation, Nadav Lapid. We have thousands of people who have gone through this holocaust and I have met many personally and seen their pain and suffering," he tweeted today.
In an indirect dig, the film's director slammed Lapid. "Truth is the most dangerous thing. It can make people lie," Vivek tweeted. It's a cryptic post.
