It's known that 'Billa' will be screened on October 23 in many centres in US and the Telugu States marking Prabhas' birthday. The special shows have been arranged by Gopi Krishna Movies, the banner founded by Late Krishnam Raju.
Director Meher Ramesh, speaking at a presser to talk about the re-release, said that producer D Narendra Prabodh gave him more than what he had asked for. "He gave me four helicopters to shoot a block when I had asked for two. The film took the greatest openings in Prabhas' career till then," Ramesh recalled.
Music director Mani Sharma recalled that Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay called him soon after the film's release and requested him to lend the film's tunes for a future movie of his.
Praseedha, Krishnam Raju's daughter, described 'Billa' as a film close to her heart. She also said that the collections from the re-release will be contributed to the India-UK Diabetic Foot Foundation in order to assist in the media treatment of those suffering from diabetes. "Diabetic foot in India doesn't have proper treatment, with 80% of the cases leading to amputation," said a doctor who was present on the occasion.
