Veteran filmmaker Tammareddy Bharadwaj, who is also a producer, has blamed the distributors of 'Liger' for their woes. The distributors have been demanding a refund of their monies from producers Puri Jagannadh and Charmme Kaur after incurring huge losses. Puri recently filed a police complaint against Warangal Sreenu and financier G Shoban Babu.
Bharadwaj, who is always frank, didn't mince words when he said that the distributors should have known the box office stamina of Vijay Deverakkonda before buying the action-drama for a bomb. They purportedly invested huge monies in the film in the hope that it was going to do a 'Waat Lagaa Dengey' performance.
The veteran may also want to question the distributors' unwise assessment of Puri, who has barely made a single decent film (barring 'Temper') in the last 10 years. How could they trust Puri's talent?
