The Telugu film industry has produced many heartthrobs over the decades. Buddharaju Haranath Raju was one of the earliest of them. Born on Sept 2, 1936 in East Godavari district, Haranath went on to act in as many as 167 movies after completing his B.A. in Kakinada.

The news is that author Dr. Kampally Ravichandran has come out with a biography on the thespian. The biography is titled 'Andaala Natudu'. The award-winning author, who has Nandi awards to his credit, has detailed unknown facts about Haranath and his filmography, which spanned decades and languages, in the book.

On the occasion of Haranath's birth anniversary, the biography was on Friday unveiled at the hands of the legendary actor and thespian Superstar Krishna. Speaking on the occasion, Krishna recounted anecdotes involving Haranath.

Haranath's daughter G Padmaja, son-in-law GVG Raju (known for producing films like 'Tholi Prema' and 'Godavari') and his grandsons were also present on the occasion. Haranath's son B Srinivas Raju, who has made films like 'Gokulamlo Seetha' and 'Raghavendra', and other family members were also present.

The author of the biography also recalled the 1961 film 'Sitarama Kalyanam', helmed by NTR and a mythological that featured Haranath as Sri Rama.
