Sri Kalasudha Telugu Association to hold its silver-jubilee awards event

Sri Kalasudha Telugu Association has been giving awards to the actors and technicians of the Telugu film industry for the last 25 years. Their journey began in 1998.

In a statement, the Association today said that the 25th year (Silver Jubilee year) is fast approaching. "This year, we will present the awards in Chennai on Ugadi. It has been decided to present silver memos to 25 awardees. Former Governor ESL Narasimhan will be present on the occasion. Also, Ali, playback singer P Suseela, producer Ravi Shankar Y of Mythri Movies Makers are also going to attend the event," the Association said.

The ceremony will be held at the Music Academy in Chennai. Prasanna Kumar said that the Awards program will be held at Triveni Sangam. Mahila Ratna Awards will be presented along with awards in various cinema-related areas.

Lyricist Chandrabose will be honoured for the Oscar-winning 'Naatu Naatu'. A Lifetime Achievement Award will be handed over to veteran filmmaker Ramesh Prasad. The Bapu-Ramana Award will be given to 'Sita Ramam' maker Hanu Raghavapudi, while the Bapu Bomma Award will be conferred on senior actress Eshwari Rao.

Tummalapalli Ramasatyanarayana said that he is glad that 'RRR' has been honoured.
