'Kushi' is about family ties, marriage system: Vijay Deverakonda

The trailer for 'Kushi' was released in Hyderabad in a grand way on Wednesday. Mythri Movie Makers hosted the event ahead of the film's theatrical release on September 1.

Speaking on the occasion, Vijay Deverakonda described 'Kushi' as a cute love story that the audience across India are going to like. He described the Shiva Nirvana directorial as a story about family ties and the marriage system. In a way, the trailer brings out this aspect in bits and pieces. He appreciated Samantha Ruth Prabhu's grit and determination to complete the film's shoot despite facing health issues.

"Mutual understanding and sharing of love are the two qualities a life partner should have," the 'Geetha Govindam' actor added, touching upon the central message of 'Kushi'.

The 'Liger' actor went further and said that marriage is a topic of discussion these days among his friends, including himself. The 'Arjun Reddy' actor touched upon things beyond the film. He evinced interest to work in Tamil and Malayalam once he becomes fluent in those languages.

On his part, the film's director (who is known for 'Majili' and 'Ninnu Kori') said that the two years over which 'Kushi' was in the making subjected him to several emotions. He raised a toast to both VD and Samantha.

Producer Naveen Yerneni revealed that a grand musical concert to celebrate the songs of 'Kushi' will be held on August 15. CEO Cherry of Mythri Movie Makers described Nirvana as the film's heart and soul.

Cinematographer G Murali said that 'Kushi' is his first Telugu film since the 2012 release 'Andala Rakshasi'.

Composer Hesham Abdul Wahab said that the music for 'Kushi' has been done in such a way that its songs will be remembered for a long time.
