'Taxiwaala', the supernatural comedy thriller released in 2018, featured Vijay Deverakonda in the lead. It has been viewed as a mere hit by box-office trackers. When an industry observer today described the film as a hit, producer SKN revealed the actual figures, claiming that the Rahul Sankrityan directorial was a super blockbuster.
"The film did a pre-release business of Rs 7 Cr (Advances) and collected Rs 22 Cr (share). It was not just a hit movie. It earned three times the business it had made," SKN of Mass Movie Makers, known for the recent blockbuster 'Baby', tweeted.
'Taxiwaala', produced also by GA2 Pictures and UV Creations, co-starring Priyanka Jawalkar and Malavika Nair. Jakes Bejoy and Sujith Sarang were its music director and cinematographer, respectively.
As for Vijay, he awaits the release of 'Family Star' in early 2024. The film is not going to be released for Sankranthi 2024. It has been postponed.
