Senior Tollywood producer Allu Aravind, who recently presented 'Kota Bommali PS' on GA2 Pictures, today welcomed the change of guard in Telangana. The TRS was trounced by the Congress party in the recently-held Assembly elections.
Speaking to the media, the Geetha Arts supremo said that he was happy that the Congress government has been voted to power in the State. "Supporting the film industry is not new to the Congress government. The previous governments have encouraged the film industry a lot. We welcome the Congress government. Soon we will meet the leaders of the Congress government on behalf of the film industry," he added.
Industry elders such as Dil Raju, D Suresh Babu and others are expected to join Aravind. They will be meeting with Revanth Reddy after he is sworn in as the CM.
Previously, elders like Dasari Narayana Rao were overtly pro-Congress although the general perception has been that most senior Tollywood producers and actors are either neutral or secretly pro-TDP.
