Morality is for cartoon shows: Sandeep Reddy Vanga

In his latest interview, Sandeep Reddy Vanga opined that film critics who look at the moral compass (or the lack of it) of movies shouldn't expect a film to abide by their moral standards. "Morality is for cartoon shows. 'Animal' is an A-rated movie. What did you expect from it?" he asked.

Vanga added that some critics have exhibited hatred towards him. "I can understand if you say that violence should have been toned down. Instead of 300 people being killed, I could have done with 100 people being killed in an action sequence. But to question the very intent of the filmmaker is wrong," Vanga said.

The 'Arjun Reddy' director said that film critics like Anupama Chopra, Rajeev Masand and Sucharitya Tyagi are uneducated and illiterate. "They don't review the craft, the sound design, the editing, etc. They don't know anything," he added.
