The 'Agent' row:

The Akhil Akkineni-starrer courted controversy upon its release in April after a distributor from Andhra alleged that its theatrical rights were sold to him by the producer for Rs 30 Cr. As per the distributor, the deal was not honoured and that he lost Rs 28 Cr. The news shocked many, given the quantum of loss he had claimed.

The 'BRO' controversy:

Andhra Pradesh Minister Ambati Rambabu alleged that the makers of the Pawan Kalyan-starrer film had infused a character mimicking him in the hope of increasing the remake's box-office collections. He went on to claim that the film was a major disaster at the BO.

The Chiranejevi-Mansoor Ali Khan row:

After Tamil artist Mansoor Ali Khan said that he wanted to do a rape scene with Trisha in 'Leo', Chiranjeevi roundly condemned him. Mansoor filed a defamation suit and was eventually fined by the court for wasting its time. He was schooled. Chiru had the last laugh.

The Suma Kanakala row:

Suma Kanakala was alleged to have insulted film journalists at an event by saying that they were eating snacks as if they were meals. She later apologized for her jocular remarks.

The Santosham Awards event:

Senior publisher, journalist, producer and distributor Suresh Kondeti invited the displeasure of the Kannada film industry after a film awards event in Goa flopped in terms of the arrangements. Allu Aravind said that he had to intervene and clear the mess Kondeti had allegedly created. Kondeti has since been admonished by the Film Chamber of Commerce.

The 'Hi Nanna' event row:

A vacation pic of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna was displayed on a big screen at the pre-release event of 'Hi Nanna'. Vijay's fans accused Nani of resorting to cheap tactics to promote his movie. Nani later said that he didn't know about the display of the image.

The 'Malli Pelli' row:

Ahead of the release of the VK Naresh-Pavitra Lokesh film, the former's ex-wife Ramya Raghupathi moved the court, alleging that the meta movie was intended to misrepresent her. On their part, Naresh and Pavitra claimed that 'Malli Pelli' was a fictional story.

The Manchu Manoj-Vishnu row:

Manchu Manoj shocked everyone by putting out a video clip in which Manchu Vishnu was seen shouting at someone and barging into the home of a known person. "This is how he behaves," Manoj said in the video. A day later, Vishnu put out a video named 'House of Manchus', which was described as a reality show. The video showed Mohan Babu and others from the Manchu family in real-life settings. It also showed the controversial video recently shared by Manoj. There was an attempt to make the public believe that Manoj's video was part of a promotional campaign! But nobody bought into it.
