NT Rama Rao, the legendary thespian and statesman who founded the TDP and became Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister for the first time in the 1980s, is a revered personality in the Telugu land. His birth centenary year has witnessed a series of events.
The news is that the log of the Vishwa Vikhyatha Nata Saarvabhouma's Satha Jayanthi celebrations has been unveiled under the aegis of TD Janardhan, the Secretary of a committee instituted to foresee the centenary celebrations.
A website has also been constructed to curate the films as well as the landmark achievements of NTR as a politician.
In May last year, NTR's daughters Purandeshwari and Lokeshwari unveiled a biographical book titled 'Mahanatudu, Prajanayakudu: NTR' written by senior journalist Bhagiratha. In December last year, the NTR Shatabdi Chalana Chitra Award was conferred on Maganti Murali Mohan and Jayachitra as part of the centennial celebrations. In the US, thanks to a NASAA endeavour, the Mayor of Edison City allocated prime land in the City of Edison, New Jersey, for the installation of a grand statue of the legend.
