Through 'Bholaa Shankar', director Meher Ramesh wants to offer more entertainment, more formula and more Megastar. For all we know, this remake is going to be more of an adaptation, thanks to Chiranjeevi's 'Waltair Veerayya'-level touch.
In Kolkata, an organized human trafficking mafia is abducting girls. Shayaji Shinde is introduced as a cop who is exasperated that the kidnappers operating in the dark are leaving no clue. There are no leads but this is when the police department falls back on Bholaa anna for help. Chiranjeevi makes a swashbuckling entry and hits it out of the park.
Vennela Kishore is playing the hero's senior and we can expect some interesting banter between them. Tamannaah Bhatia, who is playing a fangirling lawyer, makes a meta 'Rangasthalam' reference.
Keerthy Suresh and Sushanth play the hero's sister and to-be brother-in-law, respectively. They are expected to add to the fun quotient.
Chiru remains the film's USP. With his dances and comedy (he imitates Pawan Kalyan and his occasionally estranged colleague Rajasekhar), the 'GodFather' actor is going to make the movie a thorough theatrical experience.
The film, produced by AK Entertainments, is going to hit the cinemas on August 11.
