Last year, Nikhil Siddhartha was seen in the mystical thriller 'Karthikeya 2', the pan-India hit. The film logged massive figures in both Telugu and Hindi. An estimate puts its collections at Rs 121 Cr in all languages across territories. It's the biggest hit for Nikhil and director Chandoo Mondeti. Anupama Parameswaran was its heroine.
The news is that the film, produced by TG Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibotla of People Media Factory as well as Abhishek Agarwal of Abhishek Agarwal Arts, is making its presence felt in awards functions. The '18 Pages' actor has won an award for his performance in the movie at Iconic Gold Awards in the Best Actor in Popular Choice category.
Nikhil, known for BO hits like 'Swamy Ra Ra' and 'Arjun Suravaram', is elated.
In an interview last year, he said that he is looking forward to doing only exciting films. "Unless the script is exciting in many ways, the audience are not going to watch your movie in the theatre in today's times. I am excited about 'SPY', the pan-India spy thriller that touches upon a nationally relevant point. I want to do Telugu movies that can have a national reach," he said in the interview.
