Nikhil Siddhartha awaits the theatrical release of 'Karthikeya 2' on August 12. In his latest interview, the actor has revealed that efforts were put in by some people to make him and his producers postpone the movie's release to October.
It may be recalled that 'Karthikeya 2' was postponed from July 22 to avoid a clash with 'Thank You'. "We postponed the release date to August 12, but even then they asked us to postpone further. My film has no background. They asked us to put off the release till October some days ago. I cried that day for the first time," Nikhil told a website. Nikhil thanked his producers TG Vishwa Prasad, Vivek Kuchibotla and Abhishek Agarwal for taking a strong stand.
'Karthikeya 2', directed by Chandoo Mondeti, has been made on a lavish budget. It is going to clash with Nithiin-starrer 'Macherla Niyojakavargam' on August 12.
