'The India House' is the title of the first-ever venture of V Mega Pictures and the new banner's collaborator, Abhishek Agarwal Arts. The film stars Nikhil Siddhartha as Shiva, a possibly fictional character in a film set in 1905 London. Anupam Kher plays freedom fighter Shyamji Krishna Varma, the patriot, lawyer and journalist who founded the student residence that the title refers to. The 'Kartikeya 2' actor could be seen as a revolutionary student inspired by Varma and Veer Savarkar in the movie.
"On the occasion of the 140th birth anniversary of our great freedom fighter Veer Savarkar Garu, we are proud to announce our pan-India film - THE INDIA HOUSE. Headlined by Nikhil Siddhartha, Anupam Kher ji & director Ram Vamsi Krishna! Jai Hind! (sic)," wrote Ram Charan, the film's presenter. The '18 Pages' actor wrote that it is an honour working with "Global Star and our loved Mega Power Star." He described the movie's producers as passionate.
Debutant director Ram Vamsi Krishna described the responsibility as "humongous". He promised that he will put his blood, heart and soul to keep the trust of his producers.
The film will go on the floors later this year.
