The OTT debut of the Hindi 'Chatrapathi' (2023) has happened. Starring Bellamkonda Srinivas in the lead, the film is directed by VV Vinayak. The remake of Prabhas' 'Chatrapathi' is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
"Separated from his family during a conflict, a refugee embarks on a mission to reunite with his adopted family. However, he faces several challenges after his foster brother conspires against him," the film's plot summary by the streaming giant says.
The film co-stars Bhagya Sree, Sharad Kelkar, Karan Singh Chhabra, Freddy Daruwala, and others. Dr. Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios, who distributed the Hindi version of 'RRR', produced the action entertainer. The remake sank without a trace. It was not panned by the film critics, though. For, they didn't care to even watch it. The media ignored it. By doing the remake, both Bellamkonda Srinivas and Vinayak put their careers behind by a few years.
