S Naga Vamsi is easily the most accessible Tollywood producer of our time. In recent months, he has been interviewed time and again at cinema events. The video clips of him saying that Mahesh Babu's 'Guntur Kaaram' is review-proof have gone viral in recent weeks.

Participating in a roundtable discussion, the producer of films like 'DJ Tillu', 'MAD' and 'Bheemla Nayak' said that he never watched the acclaimed film 'Sapta Saagaralu Dhaati - Side B', which was released in theatres recently. Originally made in Kannada, the love story starred Rakshit Shetty in the lead.

The Sithara Entertainments supremo described the film as depressing. Vamsi suggested that watching such slow and poignant movies adds to one's mental stress.

While the producer may be trolled by cinephiles and serious movie buffs, the truth is that most audience members think very much like him. The Indian audience want entertainment, first and foremost. Only a niche segment loves films like 'Sapta Saagaralu Dahati' and 'Month Of Month'. It is what it is.
