'Bhagavanth Kesari' Trailer: Crowd-pleasing, heroic, fun!

The trailer for 'Bhagavanth Kesari' was released on Sunday ahead of the film's grand theatrical release on October 19. Nelakonda Bhagavanth Kesari, played by Nandamuri Balakrishna, is introduced as a strict uncle who dreams on behalf of his niece Vijji (Sree Leela). He wants her to find a footing in the Indian Army, which is not an occupation but a passion, not a profession but a mission.

When the physical training imposed on her by Kesari gets harder and harder, Vijji wants to quit the race. The track is reminiscent of 'Dangal' with an Anil Ravipudi-esque touch. The scenes between the uncle-niece duo are expected to be entertaining more than dramatic.

Arjun Rampal plays a differently-abled industrialist who believes he is indefatigable. The clash between the tycoon and the terminator takes place on a massive scale, complete with punchlines.

It is interesting that the niece's character has got more screen space than the heroine (Kajal Aggarwal) in this Dasara release. As the trailer ends, we see Balakrishna do a meta thing by singing a song from 'Legend' in his own style. He doesn't care for validation even if everyone told him he is an unprofessional singer. The last few seconds are hilarious!

The film, produced by Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi on Shine Screens, has music by SS Thaman. After today's trailer, V Venkat's fights and production values are expected to receive buzz. All in all, the trailer comes across as a thorough crowd-pleaser.
