AR Rahman's concert a 'major disaster', fans express anger

AR Rahman's Sunday concert in Chennai was widely publicized. As per the versions put out by attendees on social media, the ticket price was as high as Rs 5,000 to Rs 20,000 in some cases. Yet, the organizers delivered a disaster, potentially leading to a stampede-like situation. As per a national media report, poor audio, lack of an adequate number of chairs, and poor crowd control made the concert a mega-flop.

ACTC Events, which organized the high-profile concert, today put out an "insensitive" tweet. "The incredible response and the overwhelming crowd made our show a massive success. Those who couldn't attend because of overcrowding, our sincere apologies. We take full responsibility and accountability. We are with you," the organizers tweeted, putting the blame on the unanticipated overcrowding.

It has been alleged that the organizers oversold the tickets.

Netizens are urging AR Rahman to sincerely apologize to his fans on behalf of the "greedy" organizers of the concert.
