In a controversial scene in 'Family Star', Vijay Deverakonda's Govardhan has a major brawl with Ravi Babu's cameo character. In a scene before this, the latter seeks sexual favour from Govardhan's sister-in-law. Enraged by his creepiness and harassment, Govardhan assaults him and his accomplices. After successfully overpowering them, Govardhan goes on to threaten him that there are men in his family as well and that they can rape the women in the family of the baddie wherever they want.
The scene has become viral on social media after the OTT release of the Parasuram Petla directorial. Netizens are shaming the director of the film for writing the obnoxious dialogue for the male lead. "How will the family audience manifest this utterly disgusting dialogue that is coming from the mouth of the protagonist? The fact is our society still has a major crowd celebrating such retarded punchlines," wrote an angry Netizen.
The makers might justify the scene by saying that Govardhan doesn't mean it when he says he can sexually assault the women in the baddie's family.
