Priyadarshi has been around since the days of 'Pelli Choopulu' (2016). As a male lead, he landed 'Mithai' and 'Mallesham' in the pre-Covid era. The former was a disaster, while the latter was critically acclaimed.
His career as a leading actor took off only after the pandemic. 'Jathi Ratnalu' was a blockbuster. It was 'Balagam' in 2023 that convinced many that Priyadarshi is dependable. Its success gave the maximum momentum to his pursuit of leading roles.
Priyadarshi, this year alone, has played leading roles in four movies (two of which are already released). 'Om Bheem Bush' and the more recent 'Darling' are the ones that have already been released. Though both of them didn't do well in theatres ('Darling' was a super disaster), his performance received applause.
On September 6, he will be seen in '35-Chinna Katha Kaadu'. Suresh Productions is backing it. Later this year, Priyadarshi will be seen in 'Sarangapani Jathakam', a comedy entertainer helmed by Mohanakrishna Indrangati. Both the upcoming titles are crucial for him at the cinemas. If they work, his career as a leading actor would be cemented once and for all!
