Biggest opening day ever for a non-Hindi film, say 'Guntur Kaaram' makers

The makers of 'Guntur Kaaram' today claimed that their film, which hit the cinemas on January 12, grossed Rs 94 Cr (worldwide) on its first day. As per them, this is the highest-ever gross not only in the career of the "Reigning Super" Mahesh Babu but also in the history of one-language (non-Hindi) cinema.

"Guntur Kaaram strikes a π‘π„π‚πŽπ‘πƒ ππ‘π„π€πŠπˆππ† πŸ—πŸ’ 𝐂𝐑 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 Worldwide on Day 1 ~ π—”π—Ÿπ—Ÿ π—§π—œπ— π—˜ π—₯π—˜π—–π—’π—₯𝗗 in regional cinema! (sic)," the makers said, unveiling a poster.

The film was released on a grand scale in Nizam, Andhra, Ceeded and the US. The superlative openings, as per Haarika & Hassine Creations, prove the mettle of Mahesh Babu and the film's director, Trivikram.

Produced by S Radha Krishna, the family entertainer features Prakash Raj in a negative role. Ramya Krishna, Sree Leela, Jayaram and others are part of the cast. The music is by SS Thaman.
