Last year, 'Samajavaragamana' became a sensational hit at the box-office. It became Sree Vishnu's biggest blockbuster in his career. On the back of its performance, the distributors of 'Om Bheem Bush' reportedly bought Vishnu's latest film by paying hefty advances.
However, upon its release on Friday, 'Om Bheem Bush' registered low numbers at the box-office. In Hyderabad, several multiplex screens were witness to empty halls. As per a trade report, the openings were decent only in Nizam. You can imagine how bad the openings are in Andhra and Ceeded areas!
The film must earn Rs 14 Cr worldwide to achieve a break-even. This looks like a Herculean task, especially with fierce competition coming from 'Tillu Square' next week.
If 'OBB' doesn't pick up, it would be evident that the audience are fed up with the horror-comedy genre.
