Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been insulted before by YouTubers who believe in scandalous stories about her divorce. However, this is the first time that the Telugu film industry is speaking in one voice. Is it because the comments have been made by a Minister, someone who is supposed to conduct herself with dignity? Or, is it because the industry is fed up with the character assassination of Samantha? The reason, as per Netizens, is neither.

The Akkineni family's sentiments are the reason the entire Telugu film industry, including the Movie Artists Association, is speaking out against the Minister. Samantha's emotions don't matter to any of them.
"So all the fuss around #FilmIndustryWillNotTolerate is because someone made disgusting allegations against an actress or is it all about dragging Akkinenis into this filth? Such derogatory attacks aren't new for Samantha but the only fresh thing here is the collective noise," writes journalist Thadhagath Pathi.
