Ahead of the theatrical release of Pushpa 2 last year, a public event in Bihar grabbed headlines. In an unexpected way, lakhs turned up for the event. This became Allu Arjun's calling card during the promotions. The actor didn't have to give interviews to the Bollywood media after this.
Producer Y Ravi Shankar has attributed the monumental collections made by Pushpa 2 in Hindi to the eye-grabbing event. "The idea to hold the event in Patna came from Chai Bisket. The event alone ensured that our movie made Rs 300-400 Cr more Nett. in Hindi," the Mythri Movie Makers supremo said.
Pushpa 2, directed by Sukumar, also starred Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil. It will be released in Japanese in January 2026.
