Shashtipoorthi is headlined by Rajendra Prasad and his Ladies Tailor heroine Archana. Produced by Maa Aaie Productions with Rupeysh and Akanksha Singh as a young pair, the film's Glimpse is out.

"Please watch our movie with your parents, grandparents and children," the Nata Kireeti said today at the Glimpse launch event. He spoke of how Shashtipoorthi is as special as Aa Naluguru, the classic from the year 2005. "Shashtipoorthi ceremonies are crucial in our culture. Rupeysh has played a dual role, as an actor and a producer. He knows his task as a producer. He is a very good student as an actor. He would ask for my feedback on his acting on set. Archana was a highly seasoned performer even when we acted together in Ladies Tailor. Our characters in Shashtipoorthi are solid," Rajendra Prasad said.

Archana lauded director Pavan Prabha's talent. She was all praise for her Ladies Tailor co-star, with whom she has united after 39 years. "Great talents have come together to make this film. Producer and Hero Rupeysh has worked hard for this movie. Their passion and love for cinema are evident. Teaching such wonderful values is our duty, and that’s what we did in this film," she said.

Lyricist Chaitanya Prasad has penned touching songs (MM Keeravani wrote a song, while Rehman wrote two others). The lyricist spoke of how he was in a state of disbelief when he was told Maestro Ilaiyaraaja would be composing the music. He also recalled how he wrote the iconic title song for Rajendra Prasad's Aa Naluguru. As far as he is concerned, both Shashtipoorthi and Aa Naluguru are equally important.

Director Pavan Prabha that condensing a two-and-a-half-hour film in just one minute was a challenge, "I am a huge fan of Ilaiyaraaja sir. I had jitters while giving him a narration. He would belt out tunes on the spot by intuitively understanding what I was intending to convey," he added, talking about the music.

Heroine Akanksha Singh said that Ilaiyaraaja, art director Thota Tarani, and lyricist Chaitanya Prasad, besides the performers like Rajendra Prasad and Archana, have poured their heart and soul into the movie.

The film also features Prabhas Sreenu, Chalaki Chanti, Chakrapani Ananda, Achyut Kumar, Muralidhar Goud, Anil , Jabardasth Ram, Latha, Swetha, Ruhi, Sanjay Swarup, Ambaresh Appaji, and Anupama.
