In a recent podcast, Adivi Sesh discussed an incident involving a young Telugu hero (bigger than him in stardom). Many years ago, when Sesh was still not a force to reckon with but had arrived on the scene, he had a casual encounter with this hero at a party. "There was this actor. I won't say his name. But I met him at my producer's birthday. So he said, 'When are you making a film as big as mine?' It's like a measuring contest — me or you? If I want to be the top of all young heroes, there are six big ones (referring to Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Jr NTR, Ram Charan, PSPK, and Mahesh Babu). But if I wanted to become better than them, there is Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi and King Khan… then Tom Cruise. So what do we compete against?" Sesh shared in the podcast.
Speculations are rife on social media over the interview. Who was that hero who insulted Adivi Sesh? Many Netizens have speculated that it must be Vijay Deverakonda. The fact is that Sesh once appreciated Vijay in a chit-chat with actor Priyadarshi. "Vijay is the kind of person who never speaks ill of anybody. Once, in my presence, when someone started saying something negative about an individual, Vijay dissuaded him from doing so," Sesh shared in the old interview, recorded many years ago.
Adivi Sesh awaits the release of Dacoit on April 10. Vijay Deverakonda's Ranabaali will be released in theatres on September 11. His Rowdy Janardhana will be a December release.
