In Killer, scheduled to be released in theatres on October 30, actress Jyoti Poorvaj is multi-faceted: she is a terrorist, housewife, vampire, spy and Super She. The story unfolds across three distinct layers set in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

The film's trailer was released at an event on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, producer and director Poorvaaj stated that the sci-fi action thriller delivers an intriguing narrative filled with unexpected twists, surprises, and a deeper story yet to be revealed. The film features Jyoti Poorvaj in demanding multi-faceted roles requiring extensive physical and performance transformations. The plot follows a tense police investigation attempting to uncover whether her character is an alien, a woman with extraordinary powers, or something entirely different.

To boost engagement, the team is offering a Rs. 1 crore cash prize to anyone who can correctly guess the unpredictable second-half twist within five minutes of the interval by messaging a designated WhatsApp number. With a crisp two-hour runtime, the film has already earned encouraging feedback from both multiplex and single-screen viewers. Commercially, the project is performing strongly: distribution rights for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and overseas have been sold, regional versions in Tamil and Kannada are locked, and multiple OTT platform offers are already under consideration.

Attending as the chief guest, director Harish Shankar praised Killer for delivering "impressive production quality" on a modest budget, noting that this excellence is clearly visible right from the trailer. He mentioned that director Poorvaaj and Jyoti Poorvaj's mutual fandom for Pawan Kalyan was one reason he attended. Furthermore, the Duvvada Jagannadham maker highlighted the film's fascinating storyline, which uniquely combines Elon Musk's Neuralink research with a Super She character. Reflecting on Poorvaaj's persistent career journey from lockdown releases to his third directorial project, Shankar commended his dedication, wishing him and producer A. Padmanabha Reddy well-earned success.

Actress Jyoti Poorvaj shared that Killer features an "innovative, international-standard science-fiction story driven by passion rather than profit". Proud of director Poorvaaj’s unique vision, she is confident that the film will leave audiences thoroughly impressed. Transitioning from her successful television career, Jyoti hopes this "distinctive project serves as my answer to viewers, allowing them to recognize my genuine acting talent and performance depth rather than judging me solely on glamour".

Chief Editor B. Manoj Kumar praised director Poorvaaj’s creative approach and freedom, expressing confidence that KilleR will keep audiences thoroughly engaged. Cinematographer Jagadeesh Bommishetty highlighted Poorvaaj’s fresh, unconventional ideas, adding that the team's hard work and Jyoti Poorvaj’s superb performance will bring recognition to everyone involved. Actor Gautham Chakradhar Koppisetti noted Poorvaaj’s efficient same-day editing and compared the trailer's quality to Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, while lauding Jyoti Poorvaj’s outstanding portrayal of six distinct characters, especially her impressive martial arts fight sequences as Sia, which serve as an inspiration to young women.

Producer A. Padmanabha Reddy reflected on his five-year journey with director Poorvaaj, expressing deep pride in seeing the filmmaker's growth and creative vision unfold. He praised Poorvaaj’s unique ability to support and carry his entire team along with him as he advances in his career. Delighted by cinematographer Jagadeesh Bommishetti's rising recognition as well, Reddy emphasized that he chose to back KilleR primarily out of immense trust in Poorvaaj’s directorial talent and capabilities rather than just his concept ideas.

Killer also features Manish Gilada, Chandrakanth Kollu, Ayyinabathina Dasaratha Madhav, Vishal Raj, Archana Ananth, and Gautham Chakradhar Koppisetti. It hits the cinemas on October 30.
