Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra’s ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’, written and directed by Puri Jagannadh featuring Ravi Teja and Ileana in lead roles is ready for release worldwide on August 15th. This is Puri Jagannadh’s first socio-fantasy film with major part of the film dominated by comedy element. Music composed by Raghu Kunche has already generated good buzz in the film circles. Shyam K Naidu handled the cinematography. Reliance Entertainment is co-producing the film. ‘Devudu Chesina Manushulu’ is the second film for producer B V S N Prasad after ‘Khatarnak’ (2006) in Ravi Teja and Ileana combination. The producer appears very confident about the film’s openings and its success since the film did a wide range of business even before it hit the theaters. On the eve of the film’s release on August 15th, producer BVSN Prasad shared his views about the film with the media. Some excerpts are:
"This is my third film with Ravi Teja. Ravi Teja will be seen very energetic in his own style. More than the story, one can visualize a new treatment
to the film. Action part would grab the audience’s attention. Aali is playing the role of a taxi driver. Prakash Raj gave an amazing performance. The audio is still receiving good reviews from the audience", said producer BVSN Prasad.
About the story of DCM he said, "The entire film runs on Bangkok backdrop. Puri Jagan used the original names of all artists in this film. While Ravi Teja’s job is to settle the land, Ileana is an orphan who works as a taxi driver in Bangkok. One fine day they meet and how their meeting turns into love and what happens after that is the film all about. We initially thought of releasing the film in June. But due to Daruvu’s release in June, we have postponed DCM as we didn’t want both films of same hero to get clashed."
On the film he commented, "Puri crafted the movie as a full-fledged entertainer to make the audience burst into laughter for 2 ½ hours. This movie is quite contrast to the regular fantasy movies even though it’s made with fantasy elements, because as one expects, there is no connection between human-beings and Gods. Still the story revolves around the two. Hence this point is the main element of the story. No one can direct a film without a story. Therefore this film has a story too which we can’t see."
About his upcoming films, "My next project with Gopichand as hero is presently progressing in Ladhak. Chandra Sekhar Yeleti is wielding megaphone for this film. Another film in Bommarillu Bhaskar and Ram combination has completed its 1st schedule in Guntur. I’m also planning to make few more films with the leading heroes."
Producer BVSN Prasad concluded saying, “I’m planning a new film in Trivikram Srinivas and Pawan Kalyan combination. We will launch it in September.”
