Her arrogance in Trivikram’s ‘A...Aa’ did not go unnoticed. Now Anupama Parameshwaran is back with her second film ‘Premam’. The actress talks about
her priorities and the kind of roles she would like to do....
This is a repeat role for you. What changes have you made here?
Firstly the experience was a joyous one. There has been a difference in role from the original one. There I played Mary and here I act as Suma. This is done to suit the Telugu nativity. Also my role is a bit lengthy in this one. I am yet to watch the whole film.
How has the experience been with Chandoo and Chaitanya?
It was a joyous experience for sure. Everyone in the team was young. The director was cool and he helped me a lot. Initially I was scared of working with Chaitanya. But after meeting him I came to know he is friendly. That made my work easy.
Why did you do this remake?
No reason not to do it. The original is a classic and I fell in love with my role and the film. This film is something different and I loved doing it again.
How different is this role from your role in A...Aa?
Nagavalli is a dream role. Even to this day sometimes people address me as Nagavalli or Mary. W hen I was narrated the A...Aa role I liked it and agreed immediately as I had not done anything like that before. I don’t mind playing negative roles.
What interests you in Tollywood?
I love doing different kinds of roles. Money does not give me a pull. It is not my priority too. For me the role I play should have some relevance to the film.
Your future movies?
My third film will be ‘Shathamanam Bhavati’ with Sharwanand. You will also see me in Kodi a Tamil film with Dhanush. Apart from this my second Malayalam film is taking shape.
