As per the widely spread news earlier, Dr Konidela Chiranjeevi took oath as Central Tourism Minister in a cabinet reshuffle. With 22 ministers taking oath today, the new union cabinet ministers’ oath ceremony took place at 11.45 AM in New Delhi. The ceremony was attended by Smt Surekha, Allu Aravind, Ram Charan and Upasana.
Chiranjeevi started his political career in 2008 by establishing his own political party called ‘Prajarajyam Party’. In February 2011, he merged his PRP with Congress (I). Although he was neglected for a long time after the merge of his party into Congress, he gradually attained the Rajya Sabha seat in April 2012 and reached the position of Central Tourism Minister today, the 28th October, 2012.
