Komaram Bheem, who was unwilling to tolerate the suppression of tribal, became warrior and fought against Nizam Government till his last breath. I appreciate Nagabala Suresh Kumar who earlier brought the story of the great tribal leader Komaram Bheem as TV serial, is now making it as a film. Last year, on October 27, on the occasion of Komaram Bheem’s birthday, our state Chief Minister KCR went there and has started the tribal development program with Rs 25 Crores. He loves cine industry and therefore he planned to build a film city at Rachakonda. The stories of several Telangana fighters should be made as films in future.”
Producer and director of the film, Nagabala Suresh Kumar said, “Earlier I have made Komaram Bheem story as TV serial in 70 episodes with the title ‘Veera Bheem’ on this banner. It received good response from the viewers of Doordarshan. Komaram Bheem, who was unwilling to tolerate the suppression of tribal, became warrior and fought against Nizam Government till his last breath. He gave the slogan of Jal, Jungle, Jameen (It means Water, Forest and Land). It means the people who live in forests should have rights on all the resources of the forest. The film is being made with over 170 experience artists. We are presenting the history of the fighter without any controversy and we are sure the film will impress all sects of audience. I hope people belongs to both Telugu speaking states will encourage our attempt.”
