Abhishek Pictures has bagged the Telugu rights of Anjali starrer horizontal comedy thriller ‘Chitrangada’. We all know that a bilingual project ‘Chitrangada’ is being made with renowned actress Anjali in the title role. The film is being made simultaneously in Telugu as ‘Chitrangada’ and in Tamil as ‘Yaar Nee’. The film which is said to be a horizontal thriller comedy is being carved out by versatile director G Ashok, who directed ‘Pilla Zamindar’ and presently carving out a prestigious film ‘Bhagamathi’ with South Indian Top actress Anushka. Gangapatnam Sridhar and Rahman are jointly producing this lady oriented film on Sri Vighnesh Karthik Cinema and Creative Dravidians banners. Currently, post-production works are progressing in America.
On this occasion, producers said, “Recentl, Abhishek pictures’ heads have watched the first copy and were very much impressed by the film. They bought the film’s worldwide Telugu rights by offering fancy rate. Currently, post-production works are going on in America. We are planning to release the audio by the end of this month and the film in the first week of December. The film has been made on the horizontal thriller comedy genre which was not touched by anyone till now. ‘Chitrangada’ will goes on in a thrilling and suspense mode from the starting till the end of the film. The twists in the film will leave audience in shock. The song which was sung by Anjali will stand out as highlight for the film. She also sung for Tamil version. Anjali has played a different role which she has not touched so far in her career. Her performance in the title role will stand out as highlight for the film. A girl in the film gets into troubles due to some supernatural powers. What twists and turns has she to come across and how she overcomes the ordeals is the story of the film. After super hit film ‘Geetanjali’, heroine Anjali is playing the title role in this women centric film.
