It is already known to everyone that UAE-based Indian billionaire businessman BR Shetty will invest Rs 1000 crore to showcase the story of Mahabharata on the silver screen. The magnum opus will be directed by advertising filmmaker VA Shrikumar. The film is scheduled to be released in early 2020. The makers are planning to release the film in two parts to better accommodate the big storyline and characters and the second part will be released in time gap of 3 months. If made, the film will be the most expensive Indian film to hit the screens. The makers are planning to bring talent from all over the country and also global cinema into the project including cast and crew.
Ever since the project was announced, there has been a lot of speculations regarding actors who will play major roles in the film. It would include big names both from Indian cinema as well as Hollywood. Now the speculations are rife on social media with a video clip that Amir Khan is playing Lord Krishna in this decade blockbuster movie and the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan as Gangaputra Bhishma Pitamah and Hrithik Roshan as Surya Putra Karan. The epic tale also stars Deepika Padukone as Drapadi, Ajay Devgn as Duryodhana, Rajinikanth as Dronacharya, Farhan Akhtar Khan as Arjuna and Prabhas as Bheema. This India’s first movie in 3D sterio will have Abhishek Bachchan as Dussasana, Vidya Balan as Satyawati, Gulshan Grover as Shakuni, Rekha as Kunti, Vidyut Jammwal as Nakul, Arjun Rampal as Yudhishtir, Aishwarya Rai as Ganga. The film will be shot in English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu languages. I will also be dubbed in some other major languages. The project is likely to go on floors in 2018.
