ABVP leaders have warned the makers of the film that they will not tolerate if they are portrayed as villains in the movie. They also alleged that George Reddy worked with naxals, anti-national elements and was behind many murders. "How can such a criminal be portrayed as a hero", they ask.

On the other hand, PDSU leaders said that George Reddy was a genius on par with Albert Einstein and a hero who fought against oppression of the backward classes and women in Osmania University. They added that he is an inspiration to many students in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi and Nagababu are supporting 'George Reddy' movie. It was also said that Pawan Kalyan is greatly influenced by George Reddy and he wanted to play the role.

Jeevan Reddy is the director of this movie and Sandeep Madhav aka Sandy of 'Vangaveeti' fame has played George Reddy.
