Vishwak Sen starrer 'HIT' movie will be remade in Hindi with Rajkumar Rao in the lead. Shailesh Kolanu will direct the Hindi version as well. HIT stands for Homicide Intervention Team and is the story of a troubled cop, who is investigating the case of a missing woman.

Rajkumar Rao is excited to be a part of HIT Hindi remake. He said, "I instantly connected with the movie 'HIT' when I watched it. The story is very engaging and relevant in today's environment as well. It gives me an opportunity to explore what I haven't before and as an actor I'm always on the lookout for such characters. Looking forward to working with Sailesh and Mr.Dil Raju".

Sailesh Kolanu said, "The first case of HIT tells the story of a troubled cop, who is in a constant battle with his past and the present. I wanted someone who can bring the darkness to the role and still make the audience root for him with a matured performance. I've been following Rajkummar Rao's work since I watched Shaitaan. He is a terrific actor and I felt he could do justice to the role and evoke the kind of response that's required. I'm really excited to be working with him and Dil Raju sir".

Sailesh has also revealed his plans to make HIT franchise in Hindi as well. 'HIT 2' was already announced in Telugu. " I feel the premise of HIT is very global and it has the potential to be a successful franchise in Bollywood too. I will be making very minor changes to suit the sensibilities of the audience all over India.

'HIT' Hindi remake, starring Rajkummar Rao, will go on floors in 2021.
