'Suryasthamayam', which was released in theatres last Friday, has been mired in controversy. Its director and actor Bandi Saroj Kumar recently requested the audience to skip the movie in theatres because the scenes in which he acted were allegedly removed by the producer without his consent. On Tuesday, it was producer Raghu's turn to take a dig at the director.
"I thank the audience for watching our movie and making it a success. Bandi Saroj Kumar has alleged that his scenes were removed without his consent. We removed only boring and lengthy scenes. He has been trying to prevent us from promoting the movie," the producer said.
Bandi Saroj, said the producer, was given the full freedom to work on the content as he liked. "If he doesn't promote his own movie, why will any producer want to invest in his movies in the future? This selfishness is not good," the producer added.
