Ritesh Rana's 'Happy Birthday' is heading to the theatres on July 8. The Lavanya Tripathi-starrer is a surreal madcap comedy entertainer. Produced by Clap Entertainment and Mythri Movie Makers, the film's trailer was today released at the hands of SS Rajamouli.
Speaking on the occasion, the 'RRR' director described Mythri Movie Makers as producers who mint gold at the box-office. It was an indirect reference to their recent blockbusters like 'Pushpa'. He also described Cherry of Clap Entertainment as a problem-solver. The 'Baahubali' director endorsed director Ritesh Rana as well. The filmmaker's debut movie 'Mathu Vadalara' was a hit. The director said that 'HB' is looking better than 'Mathu Vadalara' in terms of quality.
Rajamouli said that Lavanya has got to play a rare character. "Actresses rarely get chances of this sort," he added. The pan-India filmmaker also mentioned top comedian Vennela Kishore in his speech. He also referred to Satya.
Producers Cherry and Y Ravi Shankar said that 'HB' will be enjoyed by the audience the way 'Jathi Ratnalu' was embraced last year.
Lavanya Tripathi said, "The trailer makes it clear that 'HB' is a different film." She added that her character is completely different in the movie.
