Ritesh Rana's 'Happy Birthday' is heading to the theatres on July 8. The Lavanya Tripathi-starrer is a surreal madcap comedy entertainer. Produced by Clap Entertainment and Mythri Movie Makers, the film's trailer was today released at the hands of SS Rajamouli.
Plugging the trailer, the 'RRR' director wrote, "Ritesh Rana’s surreal comedy and Kaala Bhairava’s intoxicating music. A potent combination for a box office success. Ritesh is creating a niche for himself. Fantastic trailer."
"The party crashers are here to make you laugh with all guns blazing (sic)," the makers said in a separate tweet. The trailer, at about two minutes, underplays the centrality of rampant gun culture to the plot.
Happy 340 is the name of Lavanya's character in the movie. Starring Vennela Kishore and others, the entertainer has Naresh Agastya and Satya as part of the cast.
Shankar Uyyala has done action choreography. The trailer's visuals suggest that he has not adhered to conventions.
