'RRR': Movie dominates the news cycle

Ahead of the theatrical release of 'Roudram Ranam Rudhiram' on March 25, the movie is dominating the news cycle. On Thursday, it was in the news for one reason after another.

In the noon, the makers said that the core team will tour nine cities in five days. Then came AP Cinematography Minister Perni Nani's announcement that the film has been made on a budget of Rs 336 Cr (excluding remunerations and GST). He added that hiked ticket rates will be allowed for theatres screening the movie for the first 10 days. This was telecast by all TV channels in the afternoon.

By evening, the AP government said that theatres can charge Rs 75 more for 'RRR'. Once again, 'RRR' was in the news. (It is as if the AP government is giving the movie publicity for free of cost!).

Then came two other updates. The censor report said that the run-time of the Rajamouli directorial is 186 minutes.

Finally, the team released a video in which Rajamouli, Jr NTR and Ram Charan are seen talking candidly in a high-end hotel room, unaware of the fact that their off-the-cuff conversations are being captured by a hidden camera. Yes, it's a marketing gimmick but then it is innovative.
